DragonWave AirPair

For those customers that have a requirement for, or desire to have, an Indoor Unit modem, DragonWave has an Indoor Unit (IDU) AirPair configuration.

The AirPair IDU is designed for a split indoor/outdoor mounting, with simple installation. The IDU provides the user with an on the ground craft interface and LED indicators to aid system diagnostics. In an IDU configuration, the radio and antenna will be mounted outdoors, and the modem is mounted indoors. The modem and radio communicate with one another via a low-loss coaxial cable such as LMR-400. The system automatically detects cable loss and adjusts power levels accordingly

The IDU is designed in a compact package (1.72" x 6.6" x 16.73"), and is mountable in a standard 19” rack, allowing the user to mount the modem in a standard telecom space with other network equipment. All user connections and LEDs are on the IDU, including the craft interface and user data interface.

DragonWave's next-generation, high capacity native Ethernet system Horizon Compact. Horizon Compact offers improved economics and simplified operations. Featuring a zero-footprint platform, the radio and the modem are integrated into one single compact outdoor-unit. Increased capacity (up to 800 Mbps using two radios with a Dual Pole mount) simplified installation, and improved troubleshooting mean lower lifecycle costs.
